Participate

Participate, contribute and help develop the National Strategy for Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity, Recreation and Traditional Practices (National Strategy).

We invite you to share your ideas to help develop the National Strategy. Your participation will help make sports, physical activity, recreation and traditional practices a welcoming and safe journey for future generations.

Share your success stories, experiences, challenges and opportunities. We want to support you in developing solutions to these issues. In addition, we want to understand the barriers faced in your communities when participating in sports, physical activity, recreation and traditional practices.

The National Strategy project team has identified Interested Parties as the individuals and groups who may have an interest in the outputs of the National Strategy. Interested Parties include First Nation, Inuit and Métis individuals and groups, as well as those involved in the planning, support and delivery of sport, physical activity, recreation and traditional practices.

Your input will help to ensure the National Strategy will inform, infuse, and improve inclusive policy design and decision-making in the future, including the collection of Indigenous perspectives throughout its development. Feedback and input will be collected from Interested Parties through participating in activities on this website (answering questions, sharing stories, responding to the survey, etc.), in addition to Listening Sessions and interviews.

By participating through this website (answering questions, sharing stories, responding to the survey, etc.), your comments and inputs will be used to inform the National Strategy and may be posted to the website.
